Wastewater Design Services in Moreton Bay, Brisbane & Sunshine Coast

All Kind Wastewater provides professional wastewater design, septic system design and on-site sewerage design services throughout Moreton Bay, North Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and surrounding South East Queensland areas.

We provide wastewater designs for new homes, secondary dwellings and granny flats, extensions, septic system upgrades, HSTP installations, rural properties and commercial projects where connection to sewer is not available.

Our wastewater design service can be provided as a standalone service, meaning you can engage All Kind Wastewater for the site assessment, wastewater design, plans and supporting documentation while using your own builder, plumber or wastewater installer to complete the works.

Alternatively, All Kind Wastewater can manage the complete project from wastewater design and council approval through to HSTP installation, plumbing and electrical works.

what is it

What Is a Wastewater Design?

Properties that are not connected to a reticulated sewer system require an appropriate method of collecting, treating and disposing of wastewater within the property.

A wastewater design assesses the property and proposed development to determine a suitable on-site sewerage facility (OSF) and Land Application Area (LAA).

There is no single wastewater solution suitable for every property.

Soil conditions, site slope, available land, property boundaries, buildings, waterways, overland flow paths, easements, flood constraints and the amount of wastewater generated by the property can all affect the design.

Our wastewater designs consider these factors to develop a practical solution suited to the individual property.

Septic & HSTP systems

Septic System & HSTP Upgrade Design

Existing septic systems and effluent disposal areas do not last indefinitely.
Older systems may also become unsuitable when a property is renovated, bedrooms are added, a secondary dwelling is constructed or the wastewater loading on the property increases.

All Kind Wastewater can assess existing wastewater infrastructure and prepare designs for the replacement or upgrade of septic systems, disposal trenches and Home Sewage Treatment Plants (HSTPs).

Depending on the property, an upgrade may include conversion from an older primary treatment septic system to an Advanced Secondary HSTP with an appropriately designed Land Application Area.

FAQ’s

Frequently Asked Questions

If your property isn’t connected to a reticulated sewer system, an on-site wastewater treatment and disposal solution will generally be required. The wastewater design determines an appropriate treatment system and Land Application Area for the proposed development.

Possibly. Adding another dwelling increases the wastewater generated on the property. The existing septic system, HSTP and Land Application Area may need to be assessed to determine whether they have sufficient capacity or require upgrading.
Yes. All Kind Wastewater offers a standalone wastewater design service. We can complete the assessment, design and documentation for your builder, plumber or nominated wastewater installer.
Yes. Where required, we can assist with the plumbing and on-site sewerage approval process and provide the supporting wastewater design documentation.

Yes. The appropriate treatment and disposal method depends on the property, soil conditions, wastewater loading, available land and site constraints.

A Land Application Area, commonly referred to as an LAA, is the designated area where wastewater or treated effluent from an on-site sewerage facility is disposed of or reused on the property.

Yes. Depending on the treatment level, site conditions and project requirements, wastewater disposal may incorporate surface irrigation, subsurface irrigation or other appropriate land application methods.
Yes. Sites affected by slope, waterways, overland flow, poor soils, easements, flooding or limited available disposal area may require additional assessment. We can investigate the property and determine the available wastewater design options.
